These are the people I spent 9/11 with, watching the live coverage, witnessing the events take place. Hearing bush’s words. Grieving the shock and loss for those directly impacted. Taking in things we had never before seen or experienced. Our sense of patriotism filled and fueled in ways we had not encountered in our lifetimes. Existing in the comfort of friends as we processed what was happening and how it would affect our lives and the world as we knew it
